Marcus Westberg is a Swedish photojournalist and conservationist who has gained recognition for his work documenting the complex relationships between people, nature, and development. He has traveled extensively throughout the world, capturing images and stories that highlight the impacts of human activities, including forestry, on natural ecosystems and wildlife.
Westberg’s work is characterised by his ability to capture the beauty and fragility of the natural world, while also exposing the harsh realities of environmental degradation and exploitation. He captures the beauty and drama of the natural world in a way that is both visually stunning and emotionally engaging and has a keen eye for detail and composition. Westberg’s photography is also notable for its ability to tell a story. Between 15th-17th May 30 of his photos are exhibited at the square of Skellefteå city centre. The pictures are taken throughout Sweden as a reflection of our landscape and the human impact on it.
